The exhibition Children of the same earth 2003

During the period of 22 April – 31 July, 2003 Stallbacken in Sollentuna had 10 000 visitors participating in the Worldtent and the exhibition “Children of the same Earth”. Out of all the visitors 3020 came from pree schools and primary to secondary schools for studydays between 23:rd of April – 28:th of May.

The other visitors came during afternoons and weekends to see the exhibition or to participate in some of the gatherings held at night during the summer period, June and July. The tent was booked out every day by schools who wanted to participate in the daytime programs. The children were between 4 – 12 years old. Some highschools also got came along even if it was hard to fit them into the project which was mostly aimed to smaller children.

The project has also made people outside of Sollentuna interested. Schools from Täby, Upplands Väsby, Solna and even schools further outside of Stockholm made appointments to come and see the project. A whole school from Sävsjö took a daytrip of 800 km to experience the Worldtent and the exhibiton.

The goal is to continue the project during 2004 – 2005. There are many children who have yet not been able to be a part of this experience and there are more children wanting to come all the time. Sollentuna is situated very close to Stockholm and it is easy to get there from any part of the capital.
